Let me begin by apologizing about my lack of food posts on Instagram and on this blog, my postgraduate studies got me by the b***s and everything is finally daunting on that it is intense. Intensities and difficulties have been identified at DEFCON 3 in my life.

But enough of my excuse, and let's delve to the important. Last weekend, was my first time visiting East London colloquially known as the Dirty East, and don't ask me why. We were not even heading to East London but to a birthday party in Hamburg, since I've never been to East London, my uncle drove us there to explore. That Saturday afternoon had us dining (well-more like a late afternoon lunch) at Grazia Food and Wine Italian Restaurant in Quigley.

Such an amazing atmosphere and the culinary choices were endless. With the endless options to choose from, I wanted to try something different, Grazia being an Italian restaurant, I went for some tantalizing ravioli. This was my first time having ravioli. That too got a decent price (R90 = $7)! The ravioli was delectable, I can't compare it to anything I've ever had. Ravioli is a special egg pasta dish filled with meat and parmesan cheese. Grazia's is topped with the choice of their special tomato & basil sauce, butter & sage or cream of mushroom, I chose the latter.

My uncle chose the Barley lamb shank, which is a whole lamb shank stewed with barley served with mashed potatoes and vegetables. I actually want to go back and try more! It felt I was in Venice or a small Italian town.
